I hate a naked table or kitchen island. I just think there something homey and warm about a centerpiece, even just a simple one. I’ve put together a few simple Fall and Halloween centerpieces to help inspire you to create your own.
I love keeping things easy and I’m a big believer in the rule of 3. I decorate in odds and three just seems like the perfect amount for me.
You don’t need to buy the perfect pumpkin. Imperfect pumpkins are beautiful and have more a rustic feel. I also like to include items that already fit the decor of my house. The starfish keeps our beachy feel and the pumpkins add the seasonal touch.
Every year to throw a bunch of pumpkins together to create a haphazard feel. I love the organic and natural feel of my runner. I use them all year long and will probably cry when Target discontinue them.
Do you have a bowl or two that you love? These two retro bowls were given to me by my Mother In Law and I love decorating with them. I normally fill them with seasonal fruit and keep them on my kitchen island. Why not bring the outdoor inside. Gather up a few of the fallen leaves and spread them over your center piece and runner. You could also just go to Pottery Barn or Crate and Barrel like I did to buy them.
These are some of my HomeGoods finds. I love that place! Again, just simply adding 3 items all different heights to create a festive look.
How about putting together a centerpiece with ingredient for Halloween potions. Different size jars filled with eyeballs, ghost, and zombie fingernails. Just make sure you use candy you don’t like! Also, arrange the jars so they’re all different heights and sizes!
Have fun!! I would love to see some of your Halloween and Fall centerpieces.
