It is no secret that I am constantly redecorating and redesigning my home. I honestly don’t think my “redo” will every be done and I kinda like that way. The biggest issue with my constant change is the price tag. Luckily, I have a HomeGoods really close!
If you’ve never been into a HomeGoods before it could be a little intimidating for a first timer. So how about a few shopping tips.
1. Grab a cart and make a lap.
Get a lay of the land and know where everything is. It will make your shopping trip less intimidating.
2. If you see something you like and it’s a great price grab it!
Yes, even if you don’t have to have a place for it yet, it won’t be there when you’re ready for it. I actually have a place in the garage for just the items.
I held onto these picture for almost 2 years before I found the perfect spot for them.
3. Make sure you hit every department.
You may not need anything in the kitchen department, but you may find something there that will work for another room.
I found these jars in the kitchen department, but they make the perfect to hold toiletries in the guest bath.
4. If possible, go often!
I try to make a lap through the store every couple of weeks. There are always new items. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, don’t give up. There’s always next week.
5. Did you find something that is perfect, but the color is wrong?
Can it be refinished? Grab it!
6. Think in odds.
If you find 2 great candle holders find one more item to complete the set.
7. Make HomeGoods your first stop anytime you do need something for your home.
It could be a lampshade, desk, chair, rug, or even new towels there is a good chance they’ll have it!
These are some of my favorite HomeGood finds.
This weathered mirror, coral, and canvas print were the perfect accent for the odd corner in my bathroom.
I am always looking for sofa pillows. This beach house pillow was the perfect pop of color in my living room.
Definitely decorate the top of your cabinets! This lantern, artichoke, and canvas print were the perfect additions to the fish and sailboat I already had.
Don’t forget to decorate the your yard! I found the statues and lanterns and complete the look we were trying to capture with our fountain.
And one of my favorite finds this year, my be cool outdoor pillows!
