This is a fabulous Valentine’s craft. It’s easy and beautiful and you are going to love it.
Heart hole punch – I bought mine at Paper Source, but you can get them at any craft store.
Larger heart template – this is to trace the hearts in the center of the canvas.
Thin Canvas board – Michael’s has them in burlap which I am currently obsessed with.
Paint for the larger hearts (any color you choose, I used black)
Construction Paper – This is for the hearts. Use any design you want.
Shadow box that will allow the canvas to fit inside. Don’t worry. I have plans for the shadow box after Valentine’s Day. That’s a future post! 😉
I love using a shadow box to decorate. It allows me to create projects with more dimension.
Trace out your hearts and then fill in with your chosen color.
Punch out your hearts. To create a crease simple line up the center on your scissors and press gently with your thumb.
Measure out your lines and lightly trace out line in pencil so you can erase them.
Lightly apply glue to the crease and then add to the canvas
Repeat step 4 along the bottom
And then up then up one line. This will help you line up the rest of your hearts.
Simply place inside your shadow box and display! Another Valentine’s Day decoration done.
