Whether you live in San Diego and you are visiting, this is a great way to spend two days in San Diego with the little ones. I highly recommend telling them nothing except that you are going on a two day adventure and then surprising them at every turn.
A well kept North County secret. Why would you want to take your kids to a nursery you ask? Oh, you know…
The bunny wabbit, Mr. Moose, they get to pet.
The guinea pigs they get to hold.
The animals they get to feed.
And if that doesn’t impress the snot out of them, hows about a little pony ride?
Has feeding all the livestock made you hungry? Spray your kids down with a fire hose filled with antiseptic and then head on over to Claire’s on Cedros for a healthy and delicious lunch. Park across the street in the train station lot because after lunch you will be catching a train and heading downtown. To rage. At the Children’s Museum.
The New San Diego Children’s Museum is chock full of creative fun.
And outside more climbing.
Next stop? The Cheesecake Factory on the walk back to the train station for dinner. Then the train home or back to your hotel, showers and bedtime for the kids and wine for you.
Pile the kids in the car and tell them it’s day two of your fun adventure then head straight to the Legoland Hotel. Click that link to see all the hotel has to offer. We LOVED it. Do a pre-check in and drop your bags with the Bell Desk. They will call you when your room is ready. Spend the day at the main park, the Sea Life Aquarium or the Legoland Water Park. Then when the park closes enjoy your dinner at the hotel then a relaxingish glass of wine while the kids have fun! (If you’re brave, you could go back for day three.)
