Are you watching Dancing With The Stars this season? Though I’m not a huge reality show fan, I do like to tune in to DWTS. It’s fun, upbeat, and great to watch some of my favorite actors from great movies and shows come back and have some fun. I don’t have to worry about my kids watching, as it’s all clean and tasteful.
Last week DWTS and Fresh Prince of Bel Air fans got a HUGE treat!! Ever since it was announced that Alfonso Ribeiro would be dancing this season, all Fresh Prince fans silently hoped that we’d get to see him incorporate ‘The Carlton’ into one of his dances. Well, not only did he incorporate it and completely blow us all away, he also did the dance to Tom Jones’ classic, ‘It’s Not Unusual’, which made the whole thing absolutely perfect.
If you missed it, here’s a replay of the dance and some words from Alfonso:
It was nice that Grey didn’t continue to act overly negative about it, but I think a lot of her mellow attitude towards her confirmed knowledge can be attributed to the fact she wasn’t sober. I think she will make more of an effort to be kinder to Maggie, but I don’t expect her to be all warm and fuzzy either. What do you think? Will Mer welcome her sister with open arms? And will Maggie even want that after the rough time she’s been having since she arrived at the hospital?
Speaking of Maggie, though I can understand her reaction to Richard, was it just me or was she a little bit too harsh? I kind of felt like her reaction was a bit over the top, but one thing we can count on is that there is no way they introduced her character just to have Maggie get her feelings hurt and bail. She’s in it for the long haul, and I think we can expect a lot of great things from Dr. Pierce.
Bonus Chat: Does anyone else think that we will be seeing Izzie again?
Once Upon a Time: So the Snow Queen is Elsa and Aunna’s Aunt? (their mother’s sister) This could explain how Elsa got her ‘curse’, because it was never really explained in the movie. And I have to say that I LOVE that the OUAT crew has incorporated the Snow Queen into this season, because that is the real fairytale story that Frozen was adapted from. I would have been really disappointed, knowing how well OUAT writers/producers have been doing bring the fairytale lore to life, if they would have just ignored that.
So here’s the big question: Do you believe that Anna could really have been the one to trap Elsa in the magic urn? Personally, I think ol’ Aunties heart is a little frigid (as she proves later when trying to set up Elsa for being an icy murderer) and she is the one who put Elsa there. Maybe a little jealousy or rivalry; Auntie doesn’t want to share the icy gift? I’d love to hear what you think!
Snow is Mayor!! And…. though I love Snow, this whole Mayor Snow thing kind of annoys me. She’s going to constantly be tripping over the towns little ups and downs, and icing (forgive the pun of the season) it over with her sugary sweetness. Somehow, she tries to turn the icy wall surrounding the town into a positive; I both smiled and rolled my eyes at the same time.
Swan and Hook. I really like them as a couple. But then, he’s got the whole black leather jacket bad boy with eyeliner going on for him. The little chat with Rumple about The Dark One’s dagger let us know that Hook isn’t above using his bad boy crafty skills to get what he needs and wants, which also leads me to believe that he and Emma are going to have to go through something pretty huge together for him to be totally on the path of the do-gooders and be Emma’s ‘Happily Ever After’.
Bonus Chat: Maid Marian is a solid block of living ice; who is the true love that will free her from her frosty curse?
