This is not going to be as eloquent want. For some reason when it comes to writing about dance I can never find the words to do my feeling justice.
I’ve danced my whole life. I’ve danced in dance class, I’ve danced on stage, I’ve danced in my room, I’ve danced in the living and much to my Mother’s chagrin I’ve danced down the isle of the super market. I danced where ever there was a enough space to do a Grand Jete’.
I didn’t stop dancing until I met my husband 7 years ago. I remember the first year was hard. I missed dancing so much, but life just got in the way. I struggled to find another creative outlet, painting (I’m really bad), decorating (I only do 1/2 the job), cooking (YUCK), and finally I found blogging. I thought that I was ok, I thought I found something to replace dance.
Well, I thought that until I took Ellie to her first dance class last July.
With the encouragement of some other SDMOMfia Bloggers we started taking a hip hop class every Tuesday night. I was terrified the first night. TERRIFIED. I couldn’t follow the choreography. I couldn’t find my rythme. What am I talking about? I still struggle to find my rythme!!!
I don’t care about any of that. I care that I’m dancing again!!! And not just in my living room. Thank you HipmamaB, Red Lotus Mama , and Mommy Loves Coffee. Without you guys I would have never gone. I love you! I’m also hoping this post motivates you to get your booties back in class!
A special thank you to Mama Mary Show. You’ve stuck with it. I never have to worry about going to class alone, I know you’ll always be there. Thank you for sharing your love of dance with me. Thank you for not collapsing to the floor and laughing at me trying to make it through class. I love you!
Now for the rest of you, this is what us Fo’ Real Housewives of Carlsbad have been doing on Tuesday nights.
I owe you Darnay Luckie, the biggest THANK YOU of all!!! Thank you for sticking with us Mom’s. We love you and appreciate you more than you’ll ever know. Even though we all curse your name on Wednesday mornings.
I love you Mary and The Carlsbad Performing Arts Academy!!! You’re stuck with the Rock On Mommies family for the rest of your life.
Now dance your way over Mama Mary Show‘s site. She did a post on Dance Class today to.
