Just the thought of trying to force my legs into Skinny Jeans used to send chills running up my spine! I have seen them everywhere and have tried to avoid the fashion completely. Some women wear them so well, but some women, well, maybe some women should rethink their size. I am not a big girl, but I am not a little girl either; so I just assumed it was a fashion trend that was not meant for me, until last week.
A couple weeks ago a friend of mine Sugar, from www.sugarjones.tv , informed me that she had volunteered to review a new line of Jeans. Really? I was terribly nervous! I am very particular about my jeans. We all know that finding a good pair of jeans is next to impossible and once you find that favorite brand, style and fit you pretty much stick with it.
Before my new Marc Allison Jeans showed up on my door step I read up on them a little.
Marc Allison Jeans are made using a completely new fabric that no other brand offers (yet), a new four-way stretch denim infused with Supima cotton that offers a stunningly flattering fit, extraordinary movement and comfort with great recovery so it won’t stretch out…making them perfect for fashion-forward moms who are constantly bending, chasing, moving, etc. The line has a modern classic style, flattering and sophisticated fit and comes in the newest washes and designs that naturally complement every woman’s individuality and sense of style.
Oh, and did I mention Marc Allison Jeans will be featured on an upcoming episode of Desperate Housewives? Ok, so I was a little more excited and I actually started to look forward to my new jeans! A couple things caught my attention right away.
Four-way stretch? Really? Yes Really! When I first pulled the Jeans out of the package I looked at them and was a little worried they would not fit. I’ll admit it, I actually did a couple of jumps to pull them up completely. Once on I was shocked how comfortable they felt! They didn’t feel tight and yes they stretched!
So my second thought was “well if they are made to stretch, then I am going to get “elephant knee.” We have all had those jeans that start to look like an elephant’s knee after a few hours of wear. No elephant knee with these Marc Allison Jeans! Trust me, I even tried to make them stretch out!
One of the main reasons I started Rock On Mommies was because I did not want to be “That Mom”. You know, that mom who stopped thinking about fashion, stopped taking care of herself, cut her hair short because it was easier, and who wore the dreaded mom jeans! Finding a pair of jeans that are fashion forward yet fictional is a perfect compromise and I would be completely happy with just that. Marc Allison Jeans have taken it a step further!
I could honestly wear these jeans with a pair of boots over them to the market, zoo, mall, come home put on a hot pair of heels and wear them on a date with my husband! They are comfy, trendy, and HOT! They come in Skinny, Straight Leg, Boot Cut and Classic Bell. So even if you do not think you can do the Skinny, you can still find the style that works for you.
Ok, so where can you buy these Hot Jeans? The line was just picked up by Fred Segal (available in April), it recently debuted in select Theory stores in Los Angeles and New York and is also being picked up by many upscale boutiques, including Coco32 on Melrose in LA.
Yesterday I jumped into my Marc Allison Skinny Jeans, cute top, my boots and headed to the salon. There is no better feeling than having all the super cute girls asking me “I love your jeans! Where can I get them?” Woo Hoo! www.marcallisonjeans.com
