The first thing I learned about being a Mom was that I couldn’t do it on my own. I need a community. A place where I could share my wins and fails. A place where I could virtually visit with other Moms and feel less alone. This is when I wonder to myself where was Moms.com 7 years ago?
One of my favorite things about Moms.com is the Mom’s Moments feature. Create a “shareable moment” using either your own picture or images provided by Moms.com. Add simple text and you have created your very own “shareable moment”.
My shareable moment was the moment that Ellie finally met her little brother. We had always thought Ellie would be an only child. So after being a family of 3 for 5 years we learned that Zach would be joining our family.
We were all a little nervous about the change. How would he fit into our family? How would we deal with the addition? How would Ellie deal with a little brother? How would Ellie adjust to not being an only child?
The day Zach was born Ellie was at school. We had a friend drop her off at the end of the day. I was so anxious for her to get there, but I was also a little worried about how she would handle it.
The moment she crawled onto my bed, we laid Zach her lap and handed her his bottle. She knew exactly what to do, and Zach responded to her like she had always been there. That is the moment I knew all was as it should be.
