Theresa and I spent our last week traveling. I was dropping Keenan off for his second year of college, (It’s not much easier the second year in case you were wondering, though I didn’t scar anyone this year in the security line). Theresa was visiting family and chasing history. We hope you enjoy our week in photos. Don’t forget to follow us on Instagram to see our photos throughout the week. Theresa on Instagram. It doesn’t get much prettier than this. The meandering fence always makes me think of lazy summer days.
Ellie holding the monument. But, of course.
Who can tell me why this plane is significant? Every time I see it my stomach flips. (That question is from Theresa. These kinds of things make her stomach flip.)
Learning about history. One of Theresa’s favorite things.
A field of bright yellow flowers is sure to make anyone smile.
A good friend took me to the spa for the day. I have no words for how unbelievably decadent it was. I was a new woman. Relaxed and calm. It lasted for about ten full minutes after I walked in my front door.
Noah had an exciting week. He booked his first modeling gig, something he has wanted to get into for years.
Climbing trees. One of the most cherished rights of childhood.
I dropped him off for his second year of college. My good friend @marymac said it is blurred because it’s as if it’s seen through the teary eyes of a mom dropping her son off. The real truth is there was a damn piece of plastic over the lens and I was so frazzled I didn’t notice.
I got home mid week and spent the next few days burying myself in work and not opening his bedroom door. We are all licking our wounds a bit and missing him terribly. Hence my Friday night grocery stop. It provided a little healing for all.
