Just a quick reminder, I am writing this for a campaign I’m taking part of over the next couple of months. All thoughts and opinions are my own though!
I have waited for this episode for the last week. Last week met the ladies, but this week we really start to get to know them! We start to see their true colors.
The episode opened with Erika saying goodbye to her husband, Bryan and their 2 sons as they all hit the road for a show in Texas.
She struggles with letting Bryan take the kids and I don’t blame her. I am the same way!! It’s not that we don’t trust our husbands. They just don’t handle things they way we would. Ok, so maybe we don’t trust them.
Cassie heads over to keep Erika company for the afternoon. The ladies may be giggling and having a good time, but what I learned is that Erika may have a few OCD’s. This makes me love her even more! I to want clean empty closets!
We also learned that gold digging rumors about Cassie aren’t true.
Cassie met Gary when he had nothing!!! No gold digger here ladies!
Over at Cassie’s house we finally see her, and her husband Gary, snuggling with their new baby girl. After years of trying on their own Cassie and Gary have adopted an infant girl through an open adoption. We’re also introduced to the birth Mother. The birth Mother is pumping for a few weeks to help feed the baby. She also gets to see and hold the baby as well.
I have to say it’s was so hard to watch Cassie deal with the anxiety of the adoption. The birth Mother has 10 days to change her mind about the adoption. I can’t even imagine how hard that would be. For both sides! Spoiler… This beautiful baby girl is theirs!
I loved seeing Cassie open up in this episode. To watch her and Gary go through all this has made me fall in love with both.
It’s time for a little girls night out!
This also gives us a chance to see the other girls. Everyone jumps into the limo and head downtown for a little fun. Erika had planned the night and picked the club, but some of the other ladies didn’t feel like it was a good pick.
Ana is especially vocal about not loving the night out. She thinks the girls should be up dancing, doing shots and acting a little crazier. It’s very clear that Ana plays the mean girl well. She spends the night being mean and often offending Erika.
My thought, why must every GNO being dancing and craziness. I love just hanging out with my girls relaxing, chatting, and having fun. Even after then night Ana and Jenny get together to rehash the night. Jenny referred to Erika as the Fun Sponge.
So what is a Fun Sponge? Someone who sucks all the fun out of a situation. From my perspective, it was Ana being the Fun Sponge of the night. Even her sister Betty was embarrassed by Ana’s actions.
Sarah didn’t join the girls out because she was touring with her band
Besides being adorable, Sarah has such and incredible voice. Just because she has a famous successful husband doesn’t mean that she has everything handed to her. Sarah helped set up their equipment even loading and unloading the van.
The turnout was less than expected. Not only was the club empty, but those that were there weren’t even watching. I have performed in front of the an empty crowd before and it sucks. Sarah’s attitude about is so great though. She knows/wants to pay her dues.We even tweeted about it last night
One last thought about last night. Jenny is such a strong confident business woman. I was shocked at how her back handed compliments made her look insecure as a woman. Come on Jenny! You’re better than that!
