Just 5 Minutes of Quiet Please

I love my daughter, I’m super impressed by her vocal skills. For a little girl who’s not even 3 yet, she has an amazing vocabulary. The problem is she never stops talking!  She vocalizes EVERYTHING! She even talks in her sleep.

If we happen to be someplace where she can’t use the restroom she’ll ask “Do I have a pull up on?  Can I go pee pee in it?” Pause “Ok, here comes the pee pee.  Still coming mommy.  Ok, I’m done now.  My pull up is wet now mommy.  It’s warm.”  On and On and On.

If she says something to me that I assume is rhetorical and don’t respond to, she’ll repeat it over and over again until I do respond.  “Yes Lil L I heard you.”

Even last night she yelled in her sleep “I have to pee pee.  Cover me up.” I ran into her room and she was out!

I love her, but here’s my confession…  In the past I have pleaded with her to stop talking, just for 5 minutes.  Her response “Why Mommy?  Why do you want me to stop talking?  What are you going to do while I’m quite?”
