I’ve received emails from many of you asking why I haven’t posted recently. To be honest, life just got in the way. Working on other projects just seemed to take priority. Recently I’ve found myself being called back to Rock On Mommies time and time again. I’ve missed writing here. I’ve missed interacting with you on twitter. I’ve missed having conversations with you on Facebook.
Who knew it was going to take staying in this room…
…to bring me back to you.
A few weeks ago a number of amazing Southern California bloggers were invited to a preview weekend of the recently renovated La Costa Resort. We spent the weekend being treated like royalty, mingling with celebrities, dining on the amazing creations of Chef Todd English, relaxing at the world class spa and getting our butts kick by Jillian Michaels.
Now I know I’ve written about La Costa a number of times here, but this time not only did I enjoy myself, it helped me to find myself… Again!
First let’s quickly chat about this $50 million dollar make over. La Costa Resort now has a new chic and sophisticated look with out losing any of the Spanish Mission feel that it’s known for. Even just walking the grounds gives you a peaceful stress free feeling.
Friday night we dined on the most amazing food while listening to Deepak Chopra. Ok, I’m going to tell the truth. I miss Deepak, because my husband was running late. Why would that night be any different than any other? We did however get to hangout at the Adult only pool. We also ate the most amazing Ahi Tacos that are normally only served in the Members Only Lounge. My husband and I both agree that the Ahi Tacos are so good they’re reason enough to join La Costa.
I spent the entire night laughing with Mama Mary Show, Mommy Pants, Ooph, Hip Mama B, Savvy Sassy Mom and Mommy Lite. It was during all that laughing, or maybe it was the Antioxidant Mojito, but it was then that I remembered where I needed to be. Here, sharing those stories with you guys.
I promise to share the whole weekend with you. I promise to tell you about the guy who Jillian Michaels made puked while Ooph and I tried not to pass out doing what felt like 1000 burpees. I’ll even share my own personal Sex in the City moment I had with Chris Noth. First I need to hit publish and remember what it feels like to post on Rock On Mommies. I’ll see you guys tomorrow! Promise!
