There are three shows that are my current favorites that I look forward to watching each week: Grey’s Anatomy, Once Upon A Time, and Sons of Anarchy.
Are you a fan of any of these 3 shows? If so then this is the place for us moms to chat about what’s going on, what we think will happen, and those ‘OH MY GOODNESS I can’t believe that just happend!!’ moments.
Since I haven’t talked about Grey’s much, let’s start there and touch on the season opener, Must Have Lost It On The Wind:
First of all, is anyone else not surprised to see that Meredith has a sister? We first figured this out towards the end of Season 10, but I feel like it just needs to be said out loud that when Maggie Pierce came on the scene I was shouting, ‘FINALLY!!’ to the fact that we are seeing the love child between Meredith’s mother, Ellis, and Richard. Though it was something never really talked about before, I’d always had a hunch that Meredith had a half-sister somewhere, and Yang’s exit was going to be the perfect time for the new character to enter. So what now? Meredith has never let anyone into her life easily, and right away she and Maggie are at odds. But Maggie KNOWS!!
I’ve been so curious to see how Meredith would react, knowing it wouldn’t be the warmest reception, but I also didn’t expect what we saw at the end of this Thursday’s show. Meredith was much harsher than I thought she would be. And actually, since the middle of last season I’ve noticed Meredith being much colder. Sure she’s always been a bit snarky, but she’s really started to get a colder, harsher edge to her persona. I can’t help but wonder if it’s a prelude to something…
And what do you think about Hunt? Will he deal with Yang’s absence on his own, or does he need a friend intervention?
Once Upon A Time Season 4 Premiere: A Tale Of Two Sisters
I loved how Anna and Elsa’s parents were incorporated into OUAT to kickstart the sisters’ entrance into Storybrooke! And Elsa’s scene when entering Storybrooke was better than I had expected. I kind of though that what we were seeing in our news feeds online were those best parts meant to lure us in, but I should have known better than to give the OUAT writers and producers so little credit when they have never disappointed me in the past.
And while we were all keeping our eyes frozen wide open waiting for our new friends from Arendelle to appear, I couldn’t help but be more interested in Regina and her current love triangle. I’ve always given Regina the benefit of the doubt, and known that she has the ability to be the kind-hearted woman that she, once upon a time, started out as. However, temptation to create her own happy ending is once again clouding her judgement. I cringed to see that she’s still keeping a tight hold over her ‘mirror’, and currently has no good intentions for Marian.
I see this as an ongoing struggle for her throughout this season, but am hoping that the good in her heart will ultimately win. Do you think Regina will turn back to her evil ways?
Sons of Anarchy: catching up on the Final Ride
I’m glad to report that so far Chibbs isn’t dead. Not to say that that still can’t happen, but I’m glad that so far it hasn’t. And because he’s one of my favorites, he’s who I want to chat about first. Do I sense a bit of an interest in Althea, the new sheriff in town? I think there’s no doubt that he’s fond of her, and I think that for Sheriff Henry, Chibbs is going to be the only thing that helps to keep her sanity in a town that’s ‘a bad place’. However, anytime I see something good happening, I can’t help but want to prepare myself for the bad that usually follows. Chibbs deserves to be happy. He’s a good man. But we also must remember that he’s still legally married to Fiona. So things could get really messy.
Tig, another favorite, never ceases to disappoint or entertain. And there’s really not much to say beyond what we’re seeing between him and Venus. Could this relationship possibly cause problems between himself and his SAMCRO brothers? It’s clear they’ve kept in touch, and in also clear that they have conducted more with each other than the usual club business. So now we’re caught in another twisted relationship that, as per the usual in SOA, can get really messy. I’d love to hear what you think of this and where it’s headed!
Amidst all the chaos that’s been ensuing during this Final Ride, Juice is still a big concern. Not just for SAMCRO, but for us at home watching. You can hit up any SOA fan club and see that the general consensus is that Juice needs to die. But does he? I’m the sucker with a soft heart and feel like maybe Juice really can redeem himself. So, from here on out I’m going to give ol’ Juicy Boy the benefit of the doubt. But that means he needs to come clean, and we all know that’s easier said than done. I’m also not so sure he’ll even get the chance. He’s slipping, and Gemma, of all the wrong people, sees it. She knows full well that when your mentally and emotionally circling the drain, it’s not easy to keep the evil secrets of others. So either Juice is going to keep on the path of redemption, with the help of Wendy who I feel underneath all of her past indiscretions has a good heart and always means well, and surprise all the haters at home watching, or Gemma is going to end him to save her own skin. Which do you think will happen?
Please feel free to comment below and discuss any of these 3 shows with me. Because I don’t need another play by play recap of the shows I watch (um, we all saw it), I’d much prefer to chat about them with other fans.
