Who doesn’t love decorating for the Holidays? I start planning my Holiday displays in August. I kid you not. I start searching through catalogs, pinterest, and my favorite décor websites. Always the same question, what can I do to freshen up my holiday look this year?
1 This year I’m really excited about my entry way and it was all inspired by the Personal Creations Holiday Berry Wreath collection. I love that it has more of a sophisticated feel to it.
I simply hung garland from the stair railing and wove in cranberry garland. I added a simple cranberry Christmas tree to the front table, which helped complete the entryway.
2. I love decorating our fireplace mantel every year. This year we’ve been moving the kids toys to the front “kid friendly” room. I wanted something festive, but not overly whimsical. Just by draping a simple strand of garland and adding a few starfish I accomplished my goal.
2. Add simple touches. I can’t tell you how many glass flower vases I’ve collected throughout the years. I never bring myself to throw them away. So every now and then I break them out and use them to decorate my home for the holidays. This time I filled them with a few fun brightly colored Christmas balls. Festive and it lets me break out a few more ornaments before it’s time to put up the tree.
The customized Merry Christmas Canvas is also one of my favorites. Personal Creations set it to me along with a number of other goodies!
4. Don’t forget to bring the holidays into the heart of the home, the kitchen. Create a centerpiece that includes favorite festive snacks, both healthy and indulgent. Use different clear containers to help show off the colors of the foods.
5. The easiest way to add that festive feel to your house is to start at the door. Greet your guests with a beautiful holiday wreath. ProFlowers has a number of beautiful ones to choose from.
Regardless of what your holiday style is, adding a few simple touches can make your home feel a little warmer and festive. Enjoy the holiday and have fun with your décor!
