It’s that time of year people! It’s the Holiday’s and Southern California Amusement Parks are all aglow! We actually have a few favorites that we feel shouldn’t be missed.
We have had season passes to LEGOLAND from the time Ellie was a year. It’s right in our backyard and we use it as one big park. I mean, why go swing when you could go ride a roller coaster?
Right now over at LEGOLAND they are celebrating Holiday Snow Days. Fun Town has been transformed into a Winter Wonderland for the Holidays. 50 tons of real show where you can throw snowballs at LEGO targets, build snowmen using LEGO parts and go snow-tubing whooshing down a 7 foot tall show covered runs. All your favorite LEGO Shows even have a holiday twist to them during the season. Live holiday music, LEGO Santa, festive treats and of course the 30 foot tall Christmas tree created out of more than 245,000 forest free DUPLO bricks. Don’t forget to wander through Miniland USA which is also decorated for the holidays. We love playing I spy there!
Knott’s Berry Farm
It’s Knott’s Merry Farm time! We are HUGE Peanuts fans in the Rock On Mommies house and love that we can have our own Charlie Brown Christmas at Knott’s Merry Farm. Camp Snoopy Christmas Entertainment lights up the night starting at dusk. Of course there’s the It’s Christmas Snoopy show, and Ghost Town Christmas Entertainment also lights up at dusk.
New this year is Christmas on Engine 41! The Calico Steam Train cast is bring the holiday cheer and adventures to all passengers. Don’t forget Santa’s Christmas Cabin! The Wilderness Dance Hall has been transformed into a yuletide cabin. Guest can meet Santa snack on homemade cookies, sundae’s and of course hot chocolate! Don’t fear Mom’s and Dad’s, there’s a little something for you to wine and craft beer tastings! That normally where you’ll find me.
All the thrill ride are up and running too. I mean you couldn’t go to Knott’s Berry Farm with out riding a roller coaster or five.
We love Disneyland at Christmas time. It’s a family tradition to go every year. I still tear up the moment I see Main Street all decorated for the Holidays.
Jack Skellington has decked out the Haunted Mansion for the season (which doesn’t happen at Disney World). It’s a Small World is all lit up and it’s our favorite place to watch the Fireworks show at the end of the night. Yes I cry every year. There’s the Christmas Fantasy Parade and my personal favorite Sleeping Beauty’s Castle is transformed into her winter castle.
Yes I do pretty much spend the whole day wiping tears from my eyes. If you make your way over to California Adventure make sure you walk through Carsland once the lights have been lit. Don’t forget to walk through Downtown Disney. Of course it’s all decked out for the Holidays as well.
Now go out and have a Happy Holiday Season!!!
