We’re on the move! As you many of you know every summer we take a trip to the East Coast. We start off visiting family in Stamford CT and then head over to Johnstown PA to see the Great Grandparents.
You know the city that had the big flood, the Johnstown Flood. No? Ok how about the movie Slap Shot with Paul Newman. Still no? We’ll talk more about Johnstown next week.
So let’s do a little catch up.
Sunday Ellie and I flew into NYC where we met up with Daddy.
Are you looking for a kid friendly airline? We love JetBlue! All their flights have TV and I pretty much don’t hear a peep from Ellie for the 6 hour flight. We like to splurge the extra 40 or 60 dollars to get the seats with more leg room. This way we insure that we get to board first, I don’t worry about Ellie kicking the seat in front of us, and I have enough room to stretch my arms out and take self portrait of Ellie and I.
Ellie was beyond excited to see her Daddy and even more excited to meet the Viking that he brought back from Sweden.
Olga is a very sweet yet tough little girl. I mean, she is a Viking. She also looks a lot like Ellie so this will make it easy to pass her off as our own.
After catching up on a little sleep we were ready to take on the world.
Monday we headed over to downtown Stamford for lunch. I swear Downtown Stamford has more restaurants in 2 square miles than Vegas does!
Sushi X doesn’t look much from the outside, but it was super cute inside. Everything was super fresh and Ellie loved the gyoza. Best part, there is a $19.00 all you can eat, but make sure you read the fine print. Order just what you think you can eat, because anything you don’t eat you will be charge regular A la carte for!
The other thing I love about Stamford, the mall!!! Seriously it’s huge and has some great stores! It’s also the only mall I know of that you can buy a pair of Jimmy Choo’s at Saks Fifth Ave. and then walk 50 feet and buy a pair of shoes at Payless. I wonder how many people have actually done that…
Tomorrow we talk Crumbs!!!!
