I’m a labeler. There I said it. If it looked ok, I would label every drawer, shelf and storage container in my house. The control freak in me wants everyone else to know where I want them to put things.
I bought a metal rolling basket from Cost Plus to sit it by the back door that leads to the pool and hold all of our pool towels so I don’t have to chase them down every time we get in the pool. Like everything else in this house, my family seems to throw everything but pool towels in there. So today I decided that if I labeled it specifically for pool towels, it might help.
How to Make a Chalkboard Sign
All you’ll need is a thick piece of cardboard, craft chalkboard paint, small paint roller and a liquid chalk marker, twine and a hole punch.
Using the roller rather than a brush will eliminate brush marks and give it a wood appearance.
Let the chalkboard paint dry before you use the chalk marker. Use a stencil if you want a specific font. Attach with twine.
And done. Maybe this will stop everyone from using this basket as a catch all.
