Probably on the bucket list of every geek (I file myself in this category), nerd, cosplay lover, and comic fan is to attend a Comic-Con Conference. It’s definitely on mine, and I was foaming at the mouth this past weekend as I was watching everyones photos stream across IG, and the constant updates filter through on Facebook.
One of the perks of being at Comic-Con is not only trying to snag an autograph of your favorite actor, but also catching a first glimpse at all the TV and Movie trailers coming out. And this Fall looks to really pack a
with season openers on tv.
Gotham – Oh how we love to swoon over brooding, dark, and protective men. Now tweens and teens all over the nation can join in on the swooning as we watch a young Bruce Wayne start his training and become Gotham’s Dark Knight. But Wayne doesn’t get to eat up the full focus in Gotham as we watch Officer Gordon work and rise to prominence before Batman actually enters the scene. We also get a glimpse of some of his soon to be rivals, like my favorite girl-power villain Catwoman. The Penguin also waddles in the scene, and if I must say, while I do love Danny DeVito and how he brought the Penguin to life in 1992, our newest version of the villain already proves to be more chilling. Other famous villians to be on the lookout for this Fall? We should be seeing a young Poison Ivy as well as a stirring Riddler.
the Simpsons – Will Homer Simpson DIE??!?! DOH!! *deep breath* No, probably not. Though the 26th Season Premier trailer that was shown at Comic-Con this year could leave fans a little suspicious. We see typical Homer and his usual antics, and other than that no clue on who exactly is going to get the axe… and it’s not even a Treehouse Of Horrors Episode!
Sons of Anarchy – Speaking of death, all SOA fans are preparing themselves for a bloody, and last, season of the beloved biker show. Two trailers were actually released before the SOA panel at Comic-Con on Sunday, and from what we can see Jax has escaped from prison, since there are helicopter search lights shining down upon him. Teller is definitely out for revenge, but will he survive The Last Ride?
The Originals – Because we just can’t get enough of the whole vamps, werewolves, and witches genre, what could be better than putting in the spin of family dysfunction? In season 2 we can expect the family dynamics to become even more complicated, and major blood will be shed. World are going to collide, exploding us right off the edge of our seats.
Arrow – DC Comics never disappoints, and is hitting tv land by storm this Fall! October we head into the third season of Arrow. One of the reasons why I love this show is because I’ve often felt that Oliver/the Green Arrow was one of the least celebrated DC heroes. I fell in love with this character when watching Smallville, and couldn’t help but continue to fan-affair with Oliver Queen with Arrow. This year he looks to battle one of the baddest of all baddies, and Felicity…. well…. let’s just hope she makes it. (and for those who were also Smallville fans, look for the Black Canary to make an appearance in Arrow this season)
Constantine – This is one of the new shows coming to screen this Fall that I’m most excited for. John Constantine comes from the popular horror comic book series by DC Comics, and in this show represents the modern-day sorcerer who takes it upon himself to rid the world of dark evil and demons. The trailer looks promising that the on-screen version is not going to disappoint comic fans, or anyone else who loves supernatural suspense/horror fit for tv. While I admit to personally being a huge scaredy-cat that can’t even handle The Walking Dead, I’ll be tuning in for the season premiere on October 24th. With a huge pillow clutched tightly just in case I need it to hide behind… yeah, I’m THAT scaredy-cat.
What shows are you most looking forward to this fall?
