Last week while I was minding my own business, gently pulling myself out of the cocoon of my midlife crisis titled, I’m Taking My First Born to College, a little box arrived on my doorstep. I opened the box to find another box from Shari’s Berries. Really? Blek. Berries? How is one supposed to get through a midlife crisis with freaking berries.
And then I opened the box…
OMG. My two favorite things. Football and chocolate. I was so excited I ate seven of them. In. Two. Days. SEVEN. I shared the other five with the rest of my family. Because I’m a giver. And there are strawberries so it was like I was providing them a nutritional meal.
I kid you not when I tell you that I am so excited about these that I decided to have a football party at my house and invite a bunch of people next Sunday just so I could order more of Shari’s Berries football chocolate covered strawberries. Here’s hoping everyone cancels and I can eat all of them. All alone. Locked in a closet so the kids can’t find me or my chocolate covered piles of love and comfort.
Words of wisdom: Good friends don’t bring flowers that require finding vases, cutting stems, providing water and watching them die in three days. Good friends bring joy in the form of chocolate covered strawberries from Shari’s Berries.
Disclaimer: Thanks to Shari’s Berries for sending me a free box of chocolate covered strawberries. Clearly you knew I needed them. It’s like you’re psychic. I was not paid or even asked to write this post. I just freaking love these things!
