So yesterday, while baking, I mentioned to my husband that I needed a new Food Processor and that I was going to run out and buy one. Here’s the conversation that followed.
Hubby – No, don’t do that! I can get you one for Christmas.
Me – Um… Excuse Me?
Husband – Yeah, I’ll get you a nice one for Christmas. Oh, and a new dishwasher.
Me – Ha ha, you’re funny. I’ll run out tomorrow…
Man I Married – No, seriously, I’ll get for you. Also, what kind of dishwasher do you want?
Me – DUDE! Appliances are not Christmas Gifts.
Man who sleeps in guest room – Ok, for Hanukkah
And then I just walked away.
So to help him out of the dog house I decided to do all the pre-shopping for him.
Please don’t think that I haven’t appreciated all of my Christmas gifts. Unwrapping a giant Chanel box was extremely exciting and then opening to find a Juicy belt was in no way disappointing. Those tears you saw streaming down my face were only tears of happiness.
Because you’ve been so thoughtful in the past, I thought this year I’d help you out a little. I’m going to make it easy on you. You only need to make one stop. Tiffany & Company.
As you know, last Thursday I had an opportunity to have Breakfast at Tiffany with a group of amazing bloggers.
I know what you’re thinking and I promise I stayed away from the diamonds. You know my love of diamonds, but I only looked. Ok, maybe I tried on a couple diamonds, but I didn’t put any of them on my wish list. But they were beautiful and if you decide to I promise not to be to upset!
So no on the diamonds?
How about a new Starfish?
My very first piece of Tiffany jewelry was my Elsa Peretti Starfish Necklace and I’ve always wanted a larger one as well.
Or how about something a bit more traditional? Pearls?
Classic, timeless, and I would love to hand them down to Ellie one day.
I would really LOVE this Tiffany favorite. 1837 Cuff
Something I could wear everyday, with jeans or dressed up.
So what do you think? Good? Ok.
Now let’s move on to Ellie. What do you think about starting a Tiffany Charm Bracelet for her?
Ok, let’s talk about this next year.
You’re very thoughtful wife.
For those of you who would like to forward this to your husband, please feel free. I can email you the pictures. 😉
