When Zach broke his foot I felt awful, but I would be lying if I didn’t admit part of me was looking forward to him slowing down. Being 7 and 8 month pregnant is making it a little difficult to keep up with this very active toddler. The cast didn’t slow him down one bit!
He was still constantly on the move and even wore a hole in the heel!
I couldn’t even get him to slow down long enough to get a clear picture of the cast!
About a week before Zach was to have his cast removed Mike was out-of-town on business. We had all gone upstairs to start getting ready for bed. I had already had a crazy day and I was feeling well. I was counting the moment until they were both asleep so I could just lay back and put my feet up.
Just as I called out to Ellie to go brush her teeth she tells me she lost Zach.
WHAT? Lost Zach? How do you lose a whole person in one little bedroom?
I rushed as quickly as a waddling pregnant woman could rush. She was right, she lost him. After about 5 long minutes of searching the room for a normally noisy toddler, I hear a giggle from the top of Ellie’s bunkbed.
Yep, there he was, cast and all. How in the world did he climb up there with his cast?
We were able to reenact the adventure for you!
So how did I get him down? About 45 minutes begging, pleading, bribing, and maybe a tear or two.
How is it that they know exactly when pull these kind of tricks?
