Well as of Thursday I am 28 weeks. Little Baby Logan is kicking the crap out of my pelvis. Yes..he’s still not flipped around. Ultrasound is Tuesday and so we will know more about where exactly this little stubborn dude is sitting. Although since I am pretty thin I can tell you exactly where his butt, head and feet are most times. I just got kicked, he must know I am talking about him. Or maybe he likes Michael Buble because he’s on Saturday Night Live right now. Random.
So hybrid fruit. When we went to the store this last time I asked my hubby to grab me a bunch of fruit. I can’t get enough fruit. I could put down a whole watermelon if I wanted to. Promise. Anyhow he bought me one Pluot. It is apparently an apricot and a plum hybrid. All I know is it rocked. Mind you it’s priced like a bell pepper or a avocado but it was VERY “delicioso!” as Dora would say. I highly recommend trying one next time you are looking for a different kind of fruit. I sure wish they could figure out how to make a banana/strawberry hybrid. Can’t imagine what it would look like?
If you don’t know this about me, I am a fashion and wedding photographer. I work with a lot of stylists and get to see the best products, makeup and tips on beauty. One of my die hard fave stylists, Linda Wagner has been toting around two items that are over the counter so to speak. (All her other products are Armani or the like). She loves that Loreal Elnett Hairspray. Personally I think it smells a little strong but it works wonders on holding models hair and then getting brushed through for re-styling. It’s also great for shine. They call it a “cult classic” as it used to have to be snuck in from Europe. However now our beloved Target sells it for about $14 a can. It’s kind of a stylist staple and Hollywood favorite.
Mascara!! Okay so I have pretty long lashes. My stylist keeps trying talk me into lash extensions and I think I would look down right nutty with even longer lashes. However the problem is that I have trouble finding good mascara. They are not as full and so clumping and spaces in my lashes happens a lot. My Mom loves that Definicils from Lancome but I can’t bring myself to spend $25 on mascara. Foundation yes, mascara…no need. For the last 5 years I have been using the hands down All American favorite Great Lash, You know the familiar green and pink bottle? Well that was until recently when I ran out. I was in the cosmetics isle and recognized a mascara that Linda (my most talented stylist friend) has been stocking up on lately.
Colossal Volume Mascara by Mabeline. THIS STUFF ROCKS! The brush is perfect and the consistency of the mascara allows you to do that two coat technique. If you don’t know what that is, you should apply the mascara to the base of your lashes and let it dry, then go back and do the tips again to make it fuller. It does have a little floral smell which is odd for a mascara, but nothing offensive. Anyhow, love this stuff and it’s about $6 everywhere.
That’s about it. Tomorrow is Beiber mania. I shoot concerts for the radio station and tomorrow is J Beiber. 6 months ago I was 5 feet from him while he played accousticand joking how he wore pajamas to the radio station. NOW? He’s such a HUGE star I had to go directly to the label to get a photo pass. That little guy is untouchable. The day starts at 1 for pre-show festivities and ends around 10. It will be 9 hours of screaming pre-teens. Oh for joy, for joy and did I mention it’s a million degrees here in Arizona? Yes, oh and I am pregnant. Some days my job just plain kinda sucks. Guess I should get to bed. Night all. I promise to post a Beiber shot for all those Moms that have nutty pre-teens obsessed with hair flipping pop stars. 🙂
