So today I am officially 6 month. Can you believe how quickly this pregnancy has flown by? I guess that’s what happens when you actually find out your pregnant at 20 weeks.
So what have I done in the last 4 weeks, well besides lots of freaking out? I have been working out. I’ve been doing The Dailey Method 4 times a week, this week I’m going 5 days! Woo Hoo! Did I mention it’s a crazy hard work out? Don’t believe me, you can read about here. SurferWife has a way with words and stick figure drawing that express my feeling exactly EEK! Make sure you’re following TDMCarlsbad on twitter so you can hear all about the torture.
Now that I’ve freaked you out, you need to try this work out though, but promise me that you’ll go at least 2 days in a row. You’ll be hooked after 2 classes. That doesn’t mean you won’t have to force yourself to go, but you’ll be glad you did.
It also helps that a number of the amazing San Diego Bloggers are taking the class. SurferWife, and MamaMaryShow join me or is it that I join them at the 8:45 class. If you’re there at 10 you might run into HipMamaB. Rumor has it that MommyLuvsCoffee and AnunCommonMom might even be there today for the 10 am class! Even ScottsdaleMama has started taking a class in Scottsdale, AZ. Apparently, it’s the cool in thing to do. 😉
I also try to do the elliptical for at least 20 minutes a day. Emphases on the word TRY. Somedays my nap time wins out. What can I say, I love a good nap.
So why all the working out? Did I mention I turned 40 last Saturday? I am freaking out!! This past summer I had finally hit the point where I was happy with the way I looked. I walked around the resort pools and beach in my bikini and felt good. Honestly, I’m a little bummed that all that hard work is being thrown out the window. I’m sad that I’m going to miss beach season this year. I’m sad that I’m not going to get to wear all the super cute styles this summer. Vain? Yes it is, but it’s how I feel.
I have every reason to freak out. Do you know that the average pregnant person should put on between 20 and 37 pounds! WHAT?
7.5 to 8.5 pounds for the baby
2 to 4 pounds for the amniotic fluid and placenta
4 to 8 pounds for increased blood and fluid
2 to 3 pounds for uterine muscles
2 to 3 pounds for you breast
and the kicker 2 to 10 pounds for the FAT around you internal organs!!!!!
Are you kidding me? REALLY? UGH!!! This is enough to motivate me to add another workout to my week!!! Or at least lay off the Crunch Bars I’ve been craving.
Once again I have thrown on my Lulu’s and have taken an incredibly unflattering picture of myself so that I can show you my ever growing belly. Again, UGH!
