100 Letters: Gun Control Form Letter to Send Your Representatives

flag

Our goal is 100 letters.

For far too long Theresa and I have posted our thoughts on Facebook.

This must change.

How many people need to die before we do something.

Our country is broken.

The list of our disdainful, demonstrative posts is endless. We would demand change. THIS TIME SOMETHING MUST CHANGE we would type in all caps so you would all know how upset we were. Twenty-four hours would pass, the news would slow and we would begin posting photos of our kids, what we had for lunch, our burning desire to get to wine-o-clock or links to our current MomSmack posts. Some time would pass, another mass shooting would occur and the same inactive cycle would repeat itself.

This time we are committed to take action. We have had enough of sitting by and doing nothing. Today we start with a letter to our Representatives. This is our start, not our stop. It’s a first step. We have created a small voice here at MomSmack. We intend to use it to help create a more peaceful America for our children to raise their children. An America unafraid of sending their children to school, a mall or a holiday party.

Below is a sample letter and links to help you figure out where to send your letter. I have included it as a PDF. You can make it simple, print it out, add the name of your Representative at the top, sign the bottom, address the envelope and send it off. I have also included the wording on it’s own so you can copy and paste only what you want.

We have a goal. Our goal is 100 letters. If we could help 100 American citizens send letters to their Representative that would be 100 times what we’ve done in the past. If you support our goal, please share this post so that you can help others support a peaceful America.
